Products are widely used in the briquette binder field—pregelatinized starch is added at a ratio of 20% in the binder, and with only 2.5% of the binder added to the briquettes, the finished product strength reaches over 50 kilograms, ensuring no breakage during storage and transport, no smoke, odor, or dust during combustion, and sulfur dioxide is solidified in the furnace ash to reduce atmospheric emissions. Currently, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is vigorously promoting clean briquettes as a replacement for bituminous coal, offering broad market prospects. Clean briquette, also known as clean coal, is a high-quality civil coal product produced by mixing anthracite powder with a binder, followed by processes such as stirring, forming, drying, and bagging. The addition amount of pregelatinized starch in the briquette binder is 20%, and the addition amount of the briquette binder in the briquette is 2.5%.

1. After drying, this type of briquette has a strength of over 50 kg, and after packaging, it does not break during storage and transportation, is pollution-free, and produces no smoke, odor, or dust during combustion.
2. It enables different stoves to achieve clean emissions. Since solid oxygen that can change the combustion characteristics of the briquette and enable combustion from the inside out is added during production, the carbon content in the ash does not exceed 1%. Additionally, the sulfur dioxide generated during combustion is converted into sulfur trioxide after oxygenation, which solidifies in the ash, reducing the emission of sulfur-containing gases into the atmosphere.
3. Clean briquettes use high-quality anthracite coal with a calorific value greater than 5,800 kcal and sulfur content below 0.4%. The briquettes have high calorific value, long-lasting durability, do not form clinkers, offer better air permeability, and are easy to use. The price is about 300 yuan/ton cheaper than anthracite lump coal of the same quality.
4. Currently, clean briquettes are strongly supported and promoted. In the Tianjin-Hebei region, the use of bituminous coal and loose coal is banned this year. Lump coal is used as a transitional fuel, but all coal use will eventually shift to clean briquettes.
In Shanxi and Inner Mongolia, clean briquettes are priced at 850-950 yuan/ton (after subsidies), while anthracite coal costs 750-1,200 yuan/ton. Government subsidies for briquettes range from 200 to 500 yuan per ton (prices vary by location depending on the price of raw coal).
