With an increasing variety of species-rich fast food, snack foods have become an essential product demand in people's daily lives, along with the quality, nutrition, and growth of consumer-type demands for snack foods. Currently, the sales volume of snack foods in China exceeds 29 billion yuan, and it is estimated that the annual growth rate will reach 15% in the coming years.

China's leisure food industry only began to emerge in the late 1960s. It was not until the late 1970s and early 1980s that the country's food structure began to diversify, and leisure foods started to transform, becoming a major force in the food industry. As the Chinese market continued to expand, the leisure food snack market economy began to grow rapidly and healthily, with products like biscuits and preserved fruits appearing. However, food categories were not yet refined, and the variety of leisure foods remained relatively limited. In the 1990s, the entire domestic leisure food industry took shape, attracting numerous leisure food production enterprises. Eight major categories, including puffed grains, nuts, fried potatoes, fried grains, non-fried dried fruits, candies, meat and fish products, and dried vegetable and fruit snacks, began to take initial form. The market share of leisure food enterprises continued to grow and expand. From the end of the 20th century to the present, the scale of the leisure food industry has been growing rapidly, with a growth rate 20% higher than the average growth rate of the food market. The fast-food industry has become increasingly important in China's food market. At the same time, the variety and types of snacks have been proliferating.
