Characteristics and Daily Maintenance of Feed Extrusion Machinery

Maintenance and Care of Feed Extrusion Machinery

(1) The box bearings should be lubricated with grease in a timely manner. After 500 hours of operation, all grease should be replaced. (Before initial operation, add an appropriate amount of grease; after 200 hours of operation, replace the lubricating oil.)

(2) Other bearing parts should be regularly lubricated with grease.

(3) During disassembly and assembly, it is strictly prohibited to use heavy hammers or other tools that may damage screws and threaded sleeves. Do not place heavy objects or supports on the extruder.

(4) The raw materials for extrusion should be cleaned to prevent foreign objects such as metal from entering the machine and damaging parts.

(5) Regularly inspect the quality of the feed extrusion machinery and replace worn parts as needed.

Keep the equipment clean.

(1) When the feed extrusion machine is not used for a long time or when changing the extruded material, the material inside the extrusion chamber should be thoroughly cleaned to prevent caking, mold, or cross-contamination between materials.

(2) Since the wear parts near the discharge port wear out relatively quickly, while those near the feed inlet wear less, when replacing wear parts, they should be replaced sequentially starting from the discharge end, and it is not advisable to replace multiple parts at once.
